Crankshaft

Here is the heart of the 4.1 liter Street Rod. This is a new, custom-built, 82.4 mm stroke, lightened, knife-edged, balanced, re-radiused, re-drilled, reheat-treated, and specially-sized for NASCAR Clevite bearings. Nothing special.

The Wheels and Tires

After considering the easy way out, going to 17" Fikses styled to look like Fuchs with new Brembos. We are going with original 15x11 and 15x9 Weidman refinished and widened Fuchs wheels.  I just can't get past the 17" wheel on the RSR.  Correct look is delivered only with a set of these bad boys.  Sick!
Add a set of hand cut Avins from Roger Kraus Racing and you have correct widths, diameters and correct stance.

Body assembly

All the assembly can begin now that the undercoating is done.  All new hardware was selected for doors, fenders, bumpers and lids.
The Fuchs 15 x 9 and 15 x 11 wheels are being finished now that we know fitment with the Avon tires is good.
The engine parts are almost all back here know for final blueprint, fitment and assembly.

Wheel Fitment

The decision to go with 15" x 11" and 15"x 9"'Weidman-Fuchs wheels was the right choice.  The RSR clones out there with big 17" diameter wheels and new Brembos is wrong, wrong, wrong.  I had Roger Kraus Racing get me dialed in with correctly sized Avons with hand-cut 'old historic' treads.  Awesome.  With the DP-Motorsport body the fit was millimeter-perfect.
This bad boy is one step closer....
