I Hate Gardening

Assembling the combination of parts for a project like this is like planting seeds in your garden.  Now that the body parts and chassis are at the body shop, and the engine parts are starting to come together, the wait is really like watching plants in your garden grow.  In other words it is a very slow process.  The transaxle is open and awaiting the 8:32 ring and pinion.  The new Guard differential is here.  With 1400 rpm extra to pull in each gear, speeds in gears go up slightly rather than down when compared to a stock 964.
Speeds in gears should be 43 in first, 73 in second, 107 in third, 138 in fourth and 173 in fifth.  No sixth gear. No crazy top speed.  Not part of the program.
The new case is being prepped for the 3.8 conversion and other special changes to the oil system and case half alignment.  The knife-edged, lightweight 4.0 liter crankshaft is being modified appropriately too.  LN has made the billet cylinders and CP-Carrillo is making the pistons that will use the excellent GT3 102.7mm ring pack, work with the unique 9m squish area at the head combustion chamber OD and yield the desired 11.5 -11.8 static compression ratio.  'Long' connecting rods, 'short' piston pins and a GT3 oil pump will be sharing the new crankcase.  Some of these specs have changed slightly.
